A College Student's View Of Fifty Shades of Grey?

The novel Fifty Shades of Grey by E. L. James was a surprisingly good read. The main character Anastasia Steele is taken aback by the beauty of the very rich and very hands-on Christian Grey. Gradually becoming his somewhat girlfriend but more rightfully named kinky sex slave, Miss Steele is slowly seduced into his world of sexual pleasure. Fighting to keep her emotions in check with this insecure emotionally inept big shot, Anastasia fights to find where she belongs in this sexually infused erotic romance.

The characters leap off the page becoming real to the reader. Anastasia's character is one that the reader wants to succeed no matter how she is perceived. She is the kind of person that the reader either roots for or against but, whichever way, she leaves a strong impression. Although Anastasia is the main character, Christian holds the readers interest as well with his secret past and his need for the sexually different.

The characters I must say truly become real in this world. Anastasia whether you as a reader find her compelling or dramatically over the top, stays with you as a girl that you hope will succeed whether you feel she is doomed from the beginning or not. She's a girl that you secretly root for or against, but still leaves a lasting impression. Even Christian with his mysterious past and his desires for the sexually awry is a character that you find interesting to follow.

Erotica is a genre that I am not too familiar with. Anyone that has hang-ups about sex or sexual talk, this book is not for you. It contains explicitly detailed content pertaining to sex and sexual acts. The lifestyle of BDSM is very in your face when reading this book. The range is enormous, from gentle to appalling to unsuitable.

E. L. James, author of Fifty Shades of Grey, composed a book filled with an attention-grabbing plot and sexual ecstasy. This book has been the best-selling book for over six months. Missing out on the chance to read Fifty Shades of Grey is not an option. There are two more books in the series, if the first one grabbed your attention.
